Emilio López-Navarro

I’m psychologist. I got my degree at the Universidad de Oviedo. I have a master on Human Cognition and Evolution (UIB).
I’ve worked for both private companies and public scientific projects, where I developed study coordinator tasks as well as the therapist and data analyst roles.

My research is focused on the gap between clinical psychology and basic science, with particular attention to schizophrenia-related disorders. My PhD thesis pays special attention to the benefits of third-wave psychological therapies (ie. Mindfulness, ACT) when added to treatment of people with schizophrenia-related disorders. The main outcomes of my research are the quality of life of these chronic patients, as well as executive functions, language, and social cognition.
